From the shops and restaurants along Sunset Cliffs Boulevard, the park's entrance at Ladera Street is a short walk. Head west towards the ocean; the cliffs will become visible as you approach. Sidewalks are available along most of the route. The walk is generally flat, but some areas within the park have uneven terrain.

From downtown San Diego, take the MTS bus route 28 or 923 towards Ocean Beach. Get off at the intersection of Sunset Cliffs Boulevard and Adair Street. From there, walk south along Sunset Cliffs Boulevard for about 15 minutes until you reach Ladera Street, where the main entrance to the park is located. A single ride on the MTS bus costs $2.50.

From I-8, take the Sunset Cliffs Boulevard exit and head south. Continue along Sunset Cliffs Boulevard until you reach Ladera Street. Turn right onto Ladera Street to find parking near the park entrance. Parking can be limited, especially during sunset hours, and is free.
