Getting There

Public Transport
From downtown San Diego, take MTS bus route 35 towards Ocean Beach. The bus will take you through Midway Drive and Cable Street. Get off at the Cable Street & Newport Avenue stop, which is a 6-minute walk from the pier. A one-way fare is $2.50.

Walking
If you are in Ocean Beach, walking to the pier is a great option. From Newport Avenue, simply head west towards the ocean. The pier is located at the end of Ocean Front Street. There is no fee to walk onto the pier.

Driving
From I-8 West, take the Sunset Cliffs Blvd exit. Continue onto Sunset Cliffs Blvd, then turn right onto Newport Avenue. Drive towards the ocean; the pier will be at the end of Newport Avenue. Parking is available in the public lot at the base of the pier, but it can be limited. Paid parking lots are also available on Cable Street and Abbott Avenue. Expect to pay around $5 per hour, with daily rates around $25.
