From the intersection of Lomas Santa Fe Drive and N Rios Ave in Solana Beach, head north on N Rios Ave. Continue to the end of the road where you will find the trailhead for San Elijo Lagoon. Take the entrance on the right, heading east, to begin your adventure. Follow the signs for Annie's Canyon Trail, approximately 0.5 miles away. Parking is free on Rios Avenue, but be respectful of neighborhood driveways and signage.

Take the Coaster train or bus to the Solana Beach Transit Station. From there, walk east along Lomas Santa Fe Drive, then turn right onto N Rios Ave. Continue to the end of N Rios Ave where you will find the trailhead for San Elijo Lagoon. Take the entrance on the right, heading east, to begin your adventure. Follow the signs for Annie's Canyon Trail, approximately 0.5 miles away. A single ride on the Coaster is around $5, while a single bus fare is $2.50.
