Discover more about La Jolla Kayak

La Jolla Kayak provides a unique opportunity to explore the La Jolla Ecological Reserve and its famous sea caves. Founded in 1994 by a La Jollan native, the company has been offering kayak and snorkeling tours for over 27 years. Operating from La Jolla Shores, La Jolla Kayak gives visitors the chance to paddle and snorkel among the reefs and marine life native to Southern California. The tours take you through the La Jolla Ecological Reserve, a protected marine area spanning 6,000 acres. Here, you can observe sea lions, leopard sharks, Garibaldi fish (California's state marine fish), and even dolphins. The guides share insights about La Jolla's history, wildlife, and geology. Kayak tours often explore the seven sea caves, including Sunny Jim's Cave, the Arch Cave, and Clam's Cave, offering close-ups of sandstone formations. While conditions may allow entry into Clam Cave, the other caves are typically viewed from the outside to ensure safety. La Jolla Kayak is known for its commitment to customer service, safety, and contributions to the local community. They actively support the ocean environment and participate in local events. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced kayaker, La Jolla Kayak provides an unforgettable ocean adventure.
