Public Transit
If you are starting from Union Square, walk to the Powell Street BART Station. Take the BART train towards Daly City and get off at the Montgomery Street Station. From there, transfer to the Muni bus. Take the 30-Stockton bus towards Bayview and get off at the Lombard St & Baker St stop. Walk west on Baker Street until you reach the entrance to Baker Beach.

From Fisherman’s Wharf, walk to the Powell-Hyde cable car stop and take the cable car to the end of the line at Powell and Market. Then, transfer to the 30-Stockton Muni bus towards Bayview and get off at the Lombard St & Baker St stop. Walk west on Baker Street until you reach Baker Beach.

If you are near the Golden Gate Bridge, walk south on Lincoln Blvd. After about a mile, turn left onto Baker Beach Road and follow the signs to Baker Beach. This route offers stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge along the way.

From the Embarcadero, take the Muni Metro T-Line towards Sunnydale. Get off at the Castro Street Station and transfer to the 28-19th Avenue bus towards the Golden Gate Bridge. Get off at the Baker Beach stop and walk a short distance to the beach.
