Public Transport
From downtown San Francisco, take the 38 Geary bus line to the 48th Avenue and Point Lobos stop. Walk a short distance towards the ocean on Point Lobos Avenue to find the park entrance. The Muni fare is $3.00, either via the MuniMobile app or Clipper card.
Walking
If you are near the Cliff House or Lands End Lookout Visitor Center, Sutro Heights Park is a short walk uphill. From the Visitor Center, cross Point Lobos Avenue and walk up the path leading to the park entrance. Be aware that the trail leading from the west parking lot is steep.
Driving
From Highway 101, follow signs to the Golden Gate Bridge and then to the Great Highway. The Great Highway turns into Point Lobos Avenue. There are two parking lots near the park entrance: a smaller lot on the south side of Point Lobos Avenue and a larger lot across the street near the Lands End Lookout Visitor Center. Parking can be limited, especially on weekends. Street parking may be available on 48th Avenue. Metered street parking costs around $3.25 per hour.
