    From Union Square, walk north on Powell Street towards Geary Street. Continue onto Powell, passing Post Street and Sutter Street. Turn left onto Bush Street, then right onto Mason Street. Walk north on Mason Street for approximately 4 blocks. The Cable Car Museum will be on your left. The walk is approximately 0.7 miles and should take about 15 minutes.

    From Fisherman's Wharf, take the Powell-Hyde cable car line towards downtown. The Cable Car Museum is located at the corner of Mason and Washington Streets, a short walk from a cable car stop. A single ride on the cable car costs $9. Alternatively, take the F line to Market Street and transfer to a bus heading towards Nob Hill.
