Public Transit
From downtown San Mateo, head to the San Mateo Caltrain Station located at 1 E 3rd Ave. Take the Caltrain southbound towards San Francisco. Get off at the 4th and King station in San Francisco. From there, transfer to the Muni T line (light rail) towards Chinatown. Get off at the Embarcadero station. Walk towards the waterfront and catch the Muni 30 or 45 bus heading towards the Coit Tower. Get off at the Washington Square Park stop and walk north for about 10 minutes until you reach Jack Early Park.
Bus
From downtown San Mateo, walk to the SamTrans bus stop located at 2nd Ave & B St. Take the SamTrans route 292 towards San Francisco. Get off at the stop on Montgomery St & Jackson St. From there, walk east towards the waterfront, then take the Muni 30 bus towards the Bayview-Hunters Point. Get off at the stop for Coit Tower and walk north for about 10 minutes until you reach Jack Early Park.
Bicycle
If you prefer to bike, rent a bike from a local bike rental shop in San Mateo. Head towards the Bay Trail, following the path along the San Francisco Bay. Continue to follow the trail until you reach the San Francisco waterfront. From there, follow the signs to Coit Tower, then walk north for about 10 minutes to reach Jack Early Park.
Walking
If you are feeling adventurous and want to walk the distance, start at San Mateo and head northwest towards the Bay Trail. Follow the trail along the coast until you reach San Francisco. Once you reach the Embarcadero, make your way to Chinatown and walk north towards Coit Tower. After reaching the tower, continue walking north for about 10 minutes until you arrive at Jack Early Park.
