Getting There

Car
If you're driving, start on I-80 W towards San Francisco. Take the exit for I-280 N and follow signs for US-101 N. Merge onto US-101 N and take exit 433B for Mission St. towards Civic Center. Continue on Mission St and turn right onto 3rd St. Follow 3rd St until you reach Market St, and turn left. Continue on Market St until you reach Embarcadero, then turn right. Follow Embarcadero until you reach Bay St and turn left. Then, take a right on North Point St and follow it until you see the signs for Telegraph Hill. You can park at nearby parking lots or find street parking, but be aware of parking regulations. Coit Tower is located at 1 Telegraph Hill Blvd, which is a short walk from the parking area.

Public Transportation
For public transit, take BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) to the Embarcadero Station. From there, transfer to the historic F-Line streetcar towards Fisherman’s Wharf. Get off at the Bay St & Taylor St stop. Walk towards Telegraph Hill and follow the signs leading to Coit Tower. The walk will take around 15-20 minutes uphill, but you will be rewarded with beautiful views of the city along the way. Alternatively, you can use Muni buses 39 or 45 from nearby stops that head directly to the Coit Tower area.
