    Getting There

    Walk

    From the center of San Mateo, head east on 3rd Avenue towards El Camino Real. Continue walking until you reach the Caltrain station at 2nd Avenue. Board a southbound Caltrain train towards San Francisco. After approximately 30-40 minutes, get off at the San Francisco station (4th & King). Once you exit the station, walk towards the Embarcadero, which is to your left. Continue on the Embarcadero until you reach Pier 33, which will be on your right.

    Public Transit (Bus)

    From downtown San Mateo, walk to the nearest bus stop on El Camino Real. Take SamTrans Bus Route 292 towards San Francisco. After about 30-45 minutes, get off at the stop at 2nd & King in San Francisco. From there, walk towards the Embarcadero and head north until you reach Pier 33. The walk should take around 10 minutes.

    Bicycle

    If you have access to a bicycle, begin at Central Park in San Mateo. Head east on 19th Avenue until you reach the Bay Trail. Follow the Bay Trail north along the waterfront. Continue until you reach the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge, then follow the signs towards the Embarcadero. Once you arrive at the Embarcadero, head north until you spot Pier 33. The ride will take approximately 1-1.5 hours depending on your pace.
