Public Transit (BART and Ferry)
From Walnut Creek, head to the Walnut Creek BART Station. Take the BART train towards San Francisco/Daly City. You will need to transfer at the Embarcadero Station in San Francisco. Once you arrive at Embarcadero, follow the signs to the Ferry Building. From the Ferry Building, exit and walk towards the Embarcadero waterfront. Look for the Pier 33 signs and walk along the waterfront for approximately 10-15 minutes. Alcatraz Landing Pier 33 will be on your right, located at Pier 33 Suite 200.

Start at any bus stop in Walnut Creek. You will need to take a bus to the nearest BART station (Walnut Creek BART Station is typically your best option). Once at the Walnut Creek BART Station, board a train heading towards San Francisco. Make sure to check the train schedule for the next departure. Upon arrival at the Embarcadero Station in San Francisco, exit and walk towards the Ferry Building. From the Ferry Building, head to the waterfront, following the signs for Pier 33. Walk along the Embarcadero for about 10-15 minutes until you reach Alcatraz Landing Pier 33.
