To reach the Oakland Zoo via public transport, take BART to the Coliseum station. From there, transfer to the AC Transit bus line 46L, which stops directly outside the zoo on weekdays. The 46L bus runs approximately hourly between 6:45 AM and 8:00 PM. A single ride on AC Transit costs $2.50. Be aware that there is a half-mile walk from the main gate to the zoo entrance.

If driving to the Oakland Zoo, take I-580 East and exit at Golf Links Road/98th Avenue. Turn onto Golf Links Road and follow it to the zoo entrance. Parking at the zoo costs $13 if purchased online in advance or $16 upon arrival. Consider reserving parking online to guarantee a spot and save money. Limited street parking is available on Golf Links Road, but be sure to check parking restrictions.
