    From anywhere in East Bay, head towards Berkeley. If you are on I-80, take the Ashby Avenue exit (exit 16) and head east on Ashby Avenue. Continue on Ashby until it ends at Telegraph Avenue, then turn right. Follow Telegraph Avenue up to the intersection with Grizzly Peak Boulevard and turn left. Continue on Grizzly Peak Boulevard for approximately 1.5 miles until you reach the entrance to Tilden Nature Area at 1500 Central Park Dr. Parking is available, but may incur a fee of $5 for the day.

  • Public Transportation

    Take the AC Transit bus line 67 from various locations in East Bay. If you are in Oakland, you can catch the bus at the 12th Street Oakland City Center BART station. Ride the bus until you reach the bus stop at the Tilden Park entrance. From there, it is about a 15-minute walk to the Tilden Nature Area. Be prepared to walk uphill. Check the AC Transit website for the most current schedules and fares, as the cost is typically around $2.50 one way.
