Car
If you are driving, start by getting onto US-101 S from your current location. Take exit 97A for Carrillo St toward CA-192. Follow Carrillo St and turn left onto State St. Continue straight to Shoreline Dr. After approximately 2 miles, you will see the entrance to 1000 Steps Beach at 1429 Shoreline Dr on your right. Look for the sign indicating the beach access.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, board the MTD bus route 1 or 2 from any major bus stop in Santa Barbara. Get off at the 'Shoreline Dr. & Santa Barbara Zoo' stop. From there, walk east along Shoreline Dr for about 0.5 miles. You will see the entrance to 1000 Steps Beach at 1429 Shoreline Dr on your left. The beach access is located down a staircase, so be prepared for some steps.
