Transfer to the Metro Line 704 bus towards Universal City. Get off at the Universal City station, which is the closest stop to Universal Studios Hollywood. Walk up the hill for about 10 minutes to reach the entrance of Universal Studios Hollywood.

From the Santa Monica Main Street, catch the Big Blue Bus Route 1 towards Downtown Santa Monica. Get off at the stop at 4th Street/Colorado Avenue. From there, transfer to the Metro Line 704 bus towards Universal City. Alight at the Universal City station and walk for approximately 10 minutes uphill to arrive at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Walking
If you are near the Santa Monica Pier, head east on Colorado Avenue until you reach 2nd Street. Turn left on 2nd Street and continue until you reach the Metro Expo Line station at 4th Street/Colorado Avenue. From there, follow the directions for the Metro Expo Line to Universal City as mentioned above.
