Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, head to Sequoia National Park, California. From the entrance of the park, follow the Generals Highway (CA-198) towards the Giant Forest. After approximately 7 miles, turn right onto the Moro Rock Road. Follow this road until you reach the parking area for Moro Rock. Note that there is a parking fee, which is currently $35 per vehicle for a 7-day pass.

    For those using public transportation, the nearest bus service is operated by the Sequoia Shuttle during the summer months. Take the shuttle from Visalia to the Sequoia National Park entrance. Once you arrive at the park, you can transfer to the park's shuttle service that will take you to the Moro Rock Trailhead. Be sure to check the shuttle schedule in advance, as it can vary throughout the season.

  • Hiking

    Once you have parked at the Moro Rock parking area, it is a short hike to the base of Moro Rock. The trail is well-marked, and the climb consists of 400 steps leading to the top of the rock. The trail is open from 9 AM to 5 PM, so plan your visit accordingly.
