Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from any location in the Sierra Nevada region and make your way to U.S. Route 395. Head north or south depending on your starting point. If you are coming from the south (e.g., Lake Tahoe), take U.S. 395 North. If you're coming from the north (e.g., Carson City), head south on U.S. 395. When you reach Minden, NV, take the exit for NV-88 (also known as Minden Highway). Follow NV-88 for approximately 1.5 miles; you'll see Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park on your right at 1450 NV-88.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, start by taking a bus from your location to Carson City. Once in Carson City, transfer to the Douglas County Public Transit (DCPT) bus service. You will need to take the bus that travels towards Minden. The nearest stop to Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park is the one closest to NV-88. From there, it's about a 0.5-mile walk to the park. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance for the most accurate times, as service may be limited.

• Bicycle

  For adventurous travelers, cycling to Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park is an option. You can ride along the scenic routes in the area. If you're starting from Minden, head towards NV-88. Please remember to ride cautiously as you will be sharing the road with vehicles. The park is located just off NV-88, and you can park your bicycle at the designated bike rack near the entrance.
