Car
Start your journey by getting onto the I-10 E freeway from your location in Southern California. Continue on I-10 E for approximately 60 miles until you reach the junction with CA-62 E. Take the exit toward CA-62 E toward 29 Palms. Stay on CA-62 E for about 40 miles. Once you reach Twentynine Palms, turn right onto Utah Trail, which leads into Joshua Tree National Park. Follow Utah Trail until you see the entrance to Keys View Road. Turn left onto Keys View Road, and after about 1.5 miles, you will arrive at the parking area for Keys Ranch. Note that there is an entrance fee for Joshua Tree National Park, which is $30 per vehicle and valid for 7 days.
Public Transportation
If you're traveling by public transportation, take a bus from Los Angeles to Twentynine Palms. You can use Greyhound or other regional bus services, which will take around 3-4 hours. Once you arrive in Twentynine Palms, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach Keys Ranch, as public transportation options are limited within the area. The taxi fare to Keys Ranch can range from $20 to $40 depending on the time of day and demand. Make sure to check local bus schedules in advance and plan your trip accordingly, as services may not run frequently.
