The Stanley Ranch Museum & Historical Village offers a captivating look into the early history of Garden Grove. This two-acre site, maintained by the Garden Grove Historical Society, features a collection of seventeen historic buildings, some original and some replicas, dating back to the 1800s. The centerpiece is the Ware-Stanley House, constructed in 1891 by Edward G. Ware, a prominent horticulturist credited with introducing the Valencia orange to Orange County. The house remained in the Stanley family until 1970 when Agnes Stanley donated the property to the Garden Grove Historical Society. Visitors can explore the house, filled with period furnishings and artifacts that tell the story of the Ware and Stanley families. Among the other notable buildings is the relocated Disney Garage, Walt Disney's first animation studio from 1923. This humble garage houses Disney memorabilia, offering a glimpse into the origins of the Disney empire.
