From the Tahoe City area, head to the nearest bus stop to catch the Tahoe Area Regional Transit (TART) bus. Look for the TART bus heading towards Truckee. Make sure to check the schedule as the buses have specific times. After approximately 45 minutes, get off at the Truckee Transit Center. From there, transfer to the Greyhound bus service heading towards Carson City. Once you arrive at the Carson City bus station, it's about a 10-minute walk to the Carson City Historical Society at 1207 N Carson St. Simply head south on N Carson St, and you will reach your destination.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local shop in Tahoe City. Start by heading south on N Lake Blvd (Highway 28) towards the junction with US-50. Follow the bike path along the road until you reach the junction with US-50. Carefully cross the road and continue along the bike lane on US-50 towards Carson City. The ride is approximately 30 miles and will take around 2-3 hours, depending on your speed. Once you arrive in Carson City, follow the signs to downtown and make your way to 1207 N Carson St.
