If you are starting from the Nevada State Capitol, head north on N Carson St for approximately 0.5 miles. You will pass by several shops and eateries as you walk. Continue until you reach the intersection with E 5th St. The Federal Government Building will be on your left at 401 N Carson St. Look for the historical marker, which is located at the front of the building.

From the Carson City Free Transit bus stop at the Carson City Library, take the Route 1 bus towards the Carson City Senior Center. Get off at the N Carson St & E 5th St stop. From there, walk north on N Carson St for a short distance. The Federal Government Building will be on your left at 401 N Carson St. You will see the historical marker at the front of the building.
