Walking
From the center of Tahoe City, head south on N Lake Blvd towards the intersection with Tahoe Blvd. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach the Tahoe City Transit Center. Here, you can catch a local bus heading towards Glenbrook. Make sure to board the bus that specifically states 'Glenbrook' as its destination. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Glenbrook stop, you'll need to walk approximately 0.3 miles to reach Skunk Harbor. Head east on Glenbrook Rd, then take a slight left onto the path that leads to Skunk Harbor. Follow the signs and enjoy the scenic views along the way.
Biking
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Tahoe City. Start your ride by heading south on N Lake Blvd. Follow the bike path that runs alongside the highway, which will lead you towards Glenbrook. The distance is about 5 miles, and you will enjoy beautiful views of Lake Tahoe. Once you reach Glenbrook, park your bike at the designated area and walk about 0.3 miles to Skunk Harbor by following the signs towards the scenic spot.
Public Transportation
To get to Skunk Harbor using public transportation, make your way to the Tahoe City Transit Center located at 100 N Lake Blvd. From there, take the bus that is heading towards Glenbrook. You can check the bus schedule online or at the transit center. After a scenic bus ride of about 30 minutes, get off at the Glenbrook stop. From the bus stop, walk 0.3 miles east on Glenbrook Rd, and then follow the signs leading to Skunk Harbor.
