    From the center of Tahoe City, head east on North Lake Boulevard (CA-28) toward the intersection with Stateline Road. Continue walking until you reach the Tahoe City Commons Beach area. Once there, follow the signs to the Tahoe City Marina. From the marina, you can take a scenic walk along the lakefront path towards the east. This path will lead you to the Truckee River where you will need to cross over to the west side of the river. Once you cross over, continue walking along the river until you reach the Virginia St Bridge in Reno. This will be a longer walk, so ensure you are prepared with water and comfortable shoes.

    Start at the Tahoe City Transit Center located on North Lake Boulevard. Take the TART (Tahoe Area Regional Transit) bus heading towards Truckee. Get off at the Truckee Depot, and from there, switch to the RTC (Regional Transportation Commission) bus towards Reno. Your destination will be the stop nearest to the Truckee River Walk. Once you get off, head towards the river and follow the path along the river until you reach the Virginia St Bridge.
