From anywhere in Temecula, head to the nearest public bus stop and take the Riverside Transit Agency Route 31 towards Hemet. You will need to transfer to Route 79 at the Hemet station. Stay on Route 79 until you reach the stop at the intersection of Highway 76 and Palomar Mountain Rd. From there, you can take a taxi or rideshare service to Palomar Observatory, which is about a 12-minute drive.
