    If driving, the Carnegie Arts Center is easily accessible from Highway 99. Exit at Main Street and head east into downtown. Turn north onto Broadway. The Arts Center will be on your left. Parking is available on the street and in nearby parking lots. Metered street parking costs $0.75 per hour, with a two-hour time limit. Parking lots behind the CAC and in front of the police department are free.

Originally built in 1916 as one of Andrew Carnegie's libraries, it served the community as a library until 1968. In 1979, it transitioned into an arts center, becoming a hub for creative expression. In November 2005, a devastating fire nearly destroyed the building, leaving only the exterior walls standing. However, the community rallied together to rebuild and expand the center, blending the historic architecture with modern facilities. The renovated Carnegie Arts Center reopened in September 2011, featuring galleries, classrooms, and performance spaces. The charred walls of the original library are visible in the lobby as a reminder of the city's resilience.
