From Bayfair, transfer to the SamTrans Bus Route 110 heading towards Half Moon Bay. This bus will take you directly to the downtown area of Half Moon Bay. If you're feeling adventurous, you can bike to Half Moon Bay. Start from Union City and head towards the Bay Trail. Follow the trail along the shoreline towards Hayward and then continue south past San Mateo. You'll eventually connect to Highway 1, leading you directly into Half Moon Bay. Walking from Union City to Half Moon Bay is quite a long trek, but if you wish to do so, start at the Union City BART station and head towards the east along Alvarado-Niles Road. Continue walking until you reach Mission Blvd, then take a left towards the south. Follow Mission Blvd until you reach the intersection with Highway 92. You’ll need to walk along Highway 92 towards Half Moon Bay. Be cautious as some parts may not have sidewalks. This route is approximately 20 miles and will take several hours.
