From Union City, walk to the nearest bus stop and catch the AC Transit Line 97 towards Hayward BART. Ride for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the Hayward BART Station. From there, transfer to the BART train towards Millbrae and ride for about 25 minutes until you reach the Redwood City Station. Once you exit the station, head southwest on Broadway for about 0.5 miles, and the San Mateo County History Museum will be on your left at 2200 Broadway.

Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from a local bike rental shop in Union City. Start by riding south on Dyer Street towards Decoto Road. Follow Decoto Road until you reach the intersection with Alvarado-Niles Road. Turn left on Alvarado-Niles Road and continue for about 2 miles until you reach the intersection with Highway 84. Cross the highway and continue on to the Bay Trail, heading south until you reach Redwood City. Once you arrive in Redwood City, continue on Broadway for about 0.5 miles, and the San Mateo County History Museum will be on your left at 2200 Broadway.

If you prefer to walk, start from Union City’s downtown area. Head east on Union Square towards Dyer Street. Continue walking south until you reach the intersection with Alvarado-Niles Road. From there, follow Alvarado-Niles Road until you reach the Hayward BART Station (about a 40-minute walk). From Hayward Station, take the BART train towards Millbrae and get off at Redwood City Station. After exiting the station, walk southwest on Broadway for approximately 0.5 miles, and you will find the San Mateo County History Museum at 2200 Broadway.
