Cross Lincoln Boulevard and continue east on Venice Boulevard until you reach the bus stop for the Metro Bus Line 733. Take the bus towards the Getty Center. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the stop for Sullivan Canyon Trail, which is near the entrance to the trailhead.

    Rent a bike from one of the many rental shops along the Venice Beach Boardwalk. Head north on the boardwalk, then transition onto the bike lane on Venice Boulevard. Follow Venice Boulevard until you reach Lincoln Boulevard. Turn right onto Lincoln Boulevard and continue north until you reach the intersection with Sunset Boulevard. Turn left onto Sunset Boulevard, then right onto Sullivan Canyon Road. Follow the road until you see the entrance to Sullivan Canyon Trail.

    From the Venice Beach area, walk to the nearest bus stop along Venice Boulevard. Take the Metro Bus Line 33 towards Westwood. After about 20 minutes, transfer to the Metro Bus Line 720 at the stop on Wilshire Boulevard. Ride for another 15 minutes until you reach the stop for Sullivan Canyon Trail. From the bus stop, walk a short distance to the trailhead entrance.
