Public Bus
From Venice Beach, walk to the nearest bus stop on Venice Boulevard at Windward Avenue. Board the Metro Bus Line 33 towards 'LAX City Bus Center.' Stay on the bus for approximately 25 minutes. Get off at the 'Hollywood Blvd & Highland Ave' stop. From there, transfer to the Metro Red Line subway towards 'North Hollywood.' Ride for two stops and get off at 'Universal City Station.' Follow the signs to Universal Studios Hollywood, which is about a 15-minute walk uphill from the station.

Bicycle Rental
Rent a bicycle from one of the bike rental shops along the Venice Beach boardwalk. Once you have your bike, head east on Rose Avenue and continue to follow the bike lanes. After about 3 miles, turn left onto Ventura Boulevard. Continue for another mile, then follow signs to Universal Studios Hollywood. There are bike racks available at the entrance of the park.

Walking
If you're up for a longer trek, start from Venice Beach and walk northeast along the beach path to the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Pacific Avenue. Then, head east on Washington Boulevard towards the Santa Monica Freeway. Cross the freeway and continue straight until you reach Universal City. The total walking distance is around 8 miles, and it will take approximately 2-3 hours depending on your pace. Make sure to follow the signs that lead to Universal Studios once you're in Universal City.
