Getting There
BART
From Walnut Creek BART Station, take the Pittsburg/Bay Point line towards Pittsburg/Bay Point. Ride for 12 stops (approximately 30 minutes) until you reach Montgomery St. Station in San Francisco. Exit the station and head towards 2nd St. Walk 2 blocks to Market St. and take the Muni bus (lines 41 or 45) towards Marina District. Get off at the intersection of Filbert St. and Larkin St. Walk up Filbert St. for about 5 minutes until you reach the Filbert Steps at 202 Filbert St.
Bus
From Walnut Creek, take the County Connection bus route 4 towards Concord BART. Get off at the BART station and transfer to the BART train. Follow the same instructions as above from there. If you prefer a direct bus route, check for any available express buses that may take you directly to San Francisco, but this will still require a transfer to a local bus or walking to reach Filbert Steps.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous, you can walk to Filbert Steps. Start at the Walnut Creek BART Station and head north on N Main St. Follow this street until it turns into Ygnacio Valley Rd.
