Once you exit the station, walk towards Broadway and catch the AC Transit Bus Line 1 towards the Eastmont Transit Center. Ride the bus for about 8 stops (approximately 15 minutes) and get off at the 'Lake Merritt' stop. From there, it’s a short walk to Lake Merritt.

Start at Walnut Creek BART Station and take the BART train towards San Francisco. Disembark at the 19th Street Oakland station. Once you exit the station, head to the bus terminal adjacent to the station and board the AC Transit Bus Line 62 towards the Coliseum BART. Ride for about 5 stops (approximately 10 minutes) and get off at the 'Lake Merritt' stop. Proceed on foot to reach Lake Merritt.

If you are feeling adventurous and up for a lengthy walk, you can walk from Walnut Creek BART Station to Lake Merritt. Head south on N Main St, then turn right onto Civic Dr. Continue straight to merge onto Ygnacio Valley Rd. After about a 30-minute walk, you will reach downtown Oakland. Continue towards Lake Merritt by walking east along 14th St, then turn right onto Lakeside Dr to arrive at Lake Merritt.
