Public Transit
From downtown Walnut Creek, walk to the Walnut Creek BART station located at 200 Ygnacio Valley Rd. Board a train heading toward the direction of the San Francisco International Airport. Ride for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the Vallejo transfer station. From there, you will need to catch a local bus or rideshare service to reach Nicholson Ranch, located at 4200 Napa Rd, Sonoma, CA 95476.
Bicycle
Start from downtown Walnut Creek and head north on Main St. Follow the bike lane to Ygnacio Valley Rd. Continue on Ygnacio Valley Rd until you reach the junction with Pleasant Hill Rd. Take a left on Pleasant Hill Rd and continue until you merge onto CA-680 N via the ramp to Martinez. Stay on CA-680 N, then take the exit toward CA-12 W/Sonoma. Follow CA-12 W until you reach Napa Rd. Turn right onto Napa Rd and continue until you arrive at Nicholson Ranch.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and would like to experience the local scenery, you can walk from downtown Walnut Creek. Head east on Mt. Diablo Blvd, then turn north onto Locust St. Continue straight, which will turn into Ygnacio Valley Rd. After about 5 miles, Ygnacio Valley Rd will lead you through suburban areas and eventually to Napa Rd. Turn right onto Napa Rd and walk until you reach Nicholson Ranch. Please note that this is a lengthy walk of over 6 miles, so be prepared with water and comfortable shoes.
