Car
If you're traveling by car, take Highway 120 to reach Yosemite National Park. Once inside the park, follow the signs to Yosemite Valley. From Yosemite Valley, take Southside Drive (which turns into Northside Drive) to reach El Capitan. The parking area for El Capitan is located at the El Capitan Picnic Area. Please note that during peak season, parking can be limited, and you may need to arrive early or use the shuttle service.

For those using public transportation, take the YARTS (Yosemite Area Regional Transportation System) bus to Yosemite National Park. The YARTS bus connects with the Amtrak train service at Merced. Once inside the park, you can use the Yosemite Valley Shuttle System. The shuttle runs frequently and one of the stops is near El Capitan.
