Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Kampong Chhnang city center, head southeast on National Road 5 (NR5) for approximately 7 kilometers. Look for signs indicating the turn-off to Chreav Waterfall. After turning off NR5, continue straight for about 5 kilometers, and you will reach the entrance to Chreav Waterfall. Ensure you have a GPS or map app to assist you with navigation, as some local road signs may not be clear.

• Public Transportation (Tuk Tuk)

  To reach Chreav Waterfall by tuk tuk, first find a tuk tuk near your accommodation or at a local market in Kampong Chhnang. Negotiate a fare (typically around $10-$15) for a round trip, which usually takes about 30-40 minutes each way. Inform the driver to take you to Chreav Waterfall, located in Khum Trapeang Chour. The driver will know the location. Make sure to agree on the waiting time at the waterfall before you depart.

• Public Transportation (Minibus)

  If you prefer to use a minibus, you can take a local minibus heading towards the outskirts of Kampong Chhnang. Ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest point to Chreav Waterfall. This may involve getting off at a junction, from which you will need to hire a tuk tuk for the remaining distance (about 5 kilometers). The total cost for the minibus is usually around $1-$2, and the tuk tuk ride will cost approximately $5.

• Walking

  If you are adventurous and nearby, you can walk to Chreav Waterfall. Starting from the nearest village, follow local paths or ask residents for the best route. It is advisable to wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as the walk can take over an hour depending on your starting point. Note that this option is only recommended for those familiar with the area and local terrain.
