Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, head south on National Road 5 from the center of Kampong Chhnang. Continue on National Road 5 for approximately 2.5 kilometers. When you reach the roundabout, take the second exit onto Street 2. The Independence Monument will be on your left after about 1 kilometer. Parking is available along the street.

• Public Transportation (Tuk-tuk)

  To reach the Independence Monument by tuk-tuk, find a tuk-tuk in the main market area of Kampong Chhnang. Negotiate a fare with the driver, which typically ranges from $2 to $5 depending on your starting point. Ask to be taken to the Independence Monument, which is known locally as 'Khmer Independence Monument.' The journey should take around 10-15 minutes.

• Walking

  If you're staying near the center of Kampong Chhnang, you can walk to the Independence Monument. Start at the Kampong Chhnang Market and head south towards National Road 5. Once you reach the road, turn left and walk for about 2.5 kilometers until you see the roundabout. Continue straight onto Street 2, and the monument will be on your left after about 1 kilometer. The walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes.

• Bicycle

  For a scenic ride, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops near Kampong Chhnang Market. From the market, head south on National Road 5 for about 2.5 kilometers. When you reach the roundabout, take the second exit onto Street 2. The Independence Monument will be about 1 kilometer ahead on your left. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow local traffic rules.
