History of Kampong Chhnang

Kampong Chhnang, situated along the Tonlé Sap River, has been inhabited since ancient times. Archaeological findings suggest that the area was a significant settlement during the Funan Kingdom (1st to 6th centuries CE), an influential early Southeast Asian civilization.
