Over time, the pagoda has undergone numerous renovations and expansions, mirroring the evolving religious and political landscape of Cambodia. The temple complex includes the main Preah Theat temple and a large pond known as Tonle Sa Ngout, characterized by its clear waters. Along the entrance, you'll find Preah Vihear Preah Chul Nipean, a smaller temple that once housed a statue of the reclining Buddha reaching Nirvana, which was unfortunately stolen.Within Wat Preah Theat Thma Da, several statues are venerated by locals, including those of Atitep Vero, Kongchak, Hekpous, Srei Krupleak, Tuosmuk, and Angkrong Pleung. Behind the temple stands Meru Mena, a hall built during the French colonial era, featuring a lintel sculpted on sandstone. Inside Meru, there's a sculpture of Haothi Neang Umaparvati, once worshipped by Brahmans.
