Bokor Hill Station, situated atop Bokor Mountain in Preah Monivong National Park, stands as a testament to Cambodia's colonial history and natural beauty. Established in the early 1920s by the French, the hill station served as a retreat from the heat of the lowlands. The centerpiece was the grand Bokor Palace Hotel and Casino, complemented by villas, a church, and a post office. Abandoned several times due to war and unrest, including the First Indochina War and Khmer Rouge occupation, Bokor Hill Station has a rich and turbulent past. The স্থাপনা were left to decay, adding to the area's eerie atmosphere. In recent years, redevelopment has brought modern infrastructure and restored some of the original buildings, including the Bokor Palace Hotel, which has been renovated. Today, visitors can explore the historic buildings, including the Old Catholic Church, and enjoy panoramic views of the Gulf of Thailand and the surrounding countryside. The area offers hiking trails, waterfalls like Popokvil Waterfall, and cultural sites such as Wat Sampov Pram.
