Ensure you negotiate the price and confirm the travel time (approximately 1 hour by boat). The boat will take you across the Mekong River to Koh Pdao village. Once you arrive, follow the signs or ask locals for direction to the Koh Pdao Community Based Ecotourism center.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the shops in Kratie. Start by heading towards the main road leading out of town, following signs towards Sambo district. You will pass by local villages and picturesque scenery along the way. The distance is about 45 km, so plan for approximately 3-4 hours of cycling. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Koh Pdao village as you approach the area.
Motorbike
Rent a motorbike in Kratie. Follow the main road towards Sambo district. It will take around 1-1.5 hours to reach Koh Pdao, covering a distance of about 45 km. Make sure to stay on the main road, watch for local traffic, and enjoy the scenic views. Look for signs leading to Koh Pdao village as you get closer. Once you arrive, you can park your motorbike and walk to the Koh Pdao Community Based Ecotourism site.
Tuk-tuk
Hire a tuk-tuk from Kratie to take you directly to Koh Pdao. Make sure to agree on the fare beforehand. The journey will take about 1-1.5 hours, depending on traffic. The tuk-tuk driver will be familiar with the route to Koh Pdao village, so you can relax and enjoy the ride. Upon arrival, you can easily find the Koh Pdao Community Based Ecotourism center.
