From Preah Vihear, take National Road 64 heading south towards the town of Kampong Thom. The journey is approximately 200 kilometers and will take around 3-4 hours depending on traffic. Once you reach Kampong Thom, continue on the same road, which will eventually merge into National Road 6. Follow this road west for about 70 kilometers until you reach Siem Reap. Upon entering Siem Reap, follow the signs to Angkor Wat which is located approximately 6 kilometers north of the city center. There is a parking area available near the entrance to Angkor Wat.

From Preah Vihear, you can take a bus to Siem Reap. First, you will need to reach the nearest bus station, which might require a tuk-tuk ride. Once at the bus station, purchase a ticket for a bus heading to Siem Reap. The bus journey can take around 5-6 hours with a few stops along the way. Upon arrival in Siem Reap, you can hire a tuk-tuk or a taxi to take you to Angkor Wat, which is about 6 kilometers from the bus station. The cost for the tuk-tuk ride is typically around $5-$7.

If you are already in Siem Reap, hire a tuk-tuk from your hotel or a nearby location. The ride to Angkor Wat will take approximately 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand; it usually costs around $5-$10 for a round trip. Ensure your driver waits for you while you explore the temple complex.
