Escape to Phnom Penh's River View for serene Mekong River views, cultural immersion, and a tranquil retreat from the city's hustle.
River View (ទេសភាពទន្លេ) offers a tranquil escape along the Mekong River in Phnom Penh's Chroy Changvar district. It's a place to enjoy scenic river views, local life, and a relaxing atmosphere away from the city bustle.
Opening times, essentials, and a few local tips gathered into one calmer, easier-to-scan planning section.
Tuk-tuk
From most locations in central Phnom Penh, a tuk-tuk is a convenient way to reach River View. Expect to pay between 4,000-16,000 Riel ($1-$4 USD) for a ride from the city center. Negotiate the price with the driver before starting your journey. Ask to be taken to the 'ទេសភាពទន្លេ' in Khan Chroy Changvar, across the Japanese Bridge.
Walking
If you are near the Riverside area, walk north along Sisowath Quay. Cross the Cambodia-Japan Friendship Bridge (also known as the Japanese Bridge). Continue straight after crossing the bridge; River View will be on your left. There are no tolls for pedestrians.
Use River View-ទេសភាពទន្លេ as your starting point for nearby food, family ideas, nightlife, and more local discoveries.
