It's a scenic 5-kilometer ride to the entrance. Motorbike rentals typically cost around $5-$10 per day. Parking near the entrance is available, and there may be a small parking fee.

Cha Ong Waterfall, also known as Cha Ong Rapids, is a captivating natural attraction located approximately 11km from Banlung in the Ratanakiri province of Cambodia. The waterfall originates from Phnom Eysei Patamak (Phnom Svay). The water flows from the mountain along a small stream before plunging 25 meters down a rock face. This makes it one of the tallest and most impressive waterfalls in Ratanakiri, especially during the rainy season when the water flow is at its peak. The waterfall was named by the Kreung ethnic minority, who still live in the nearby village. Visitors can follow a path along the mountainside to access a cave located behind the cascading water. Inside, you can enjoy stunning views of the waterfall and the surrounding forest. The cave walls feature inscriptions left by locals and tourists. The base of the waterfall has a natural pool, perfect for a refreshing swim. The journey to Cha Ong Waterfall takes you through scenic landscapes, passing small villages, rubber plantations and cashew forests. The road can be dusty, but the destination is well worth the trip.
