Phnom Kraom: A Historical Gem in Angkor

Getting There

• Tuk-Tuk

  From the center of Siem Reap, head to the 'Pub Street' area and find a tuk-tuk driver. Agree on a price before you start your journey. Inform the driver that you want to go to Phnom Kraom, which is located in the Angkor Archaeological Park. The ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes. Enjoy the scenery along the way, as you will pass through local neighborhoods and lush landscapes. Your driver will drop you off at the entrance of the park.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Siem Reap, especially around the Pub Street area. Start your journey heading northwest on Street 26 until you reach the entrance of Angkor Archaeological Park. The distance is about 6-7 km, which will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once inside the park, follow signs to Phnom Kraom, which is located further north within the park.

• Motorbike

  For those who are comfortable riding a motorbike, you can rent one from various shops in Siem Reap. Navigate your way to the Angkor Archaeological Park by heading northwest from the city center. The route is straightforward, about 6-7 km, taking roughly 20 minutes. Once at the park entrance, follow the signs to Phnom Kraom, which is located within the park.

• Walking

  Walking to Phnom Kraom is not the most practical option due to the distance (approximately 6-7 km from the city center) and the heat. However, if you're adventurous, start from Pub Street and head northwest towards Angkor Wat. You can follow the road leading to the Angkor Archaeological Park. Once inside the park, continue walking to reach Phnom Kraom. This could take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace.
