Storytelling Culture Walk — Phare Circus Founding CEO, Siem Reap

The best local tour that connect me with local, arts and history of Cambodia

The tour was excellent. I felt connected and learned about Cambodian Arts, History and Culture. I learned about the beautiful story of the CEO, Dara who has spent 25+ years to promote Cambodia, arts and culture. I visited the beautiful pagoda with rich of artists and history. I enjoyed and learned the Khmer traditional dance. I truly recommend everyone to experience this.

Half-Day Kompong Phluk, Tonle Sap Cruise from Siem Reap

Floating Village guided tour from Siem Reap

Picked up from the hotel promptly by our guide Thy and driver for the day. Thy explained to us a lot about local Cambodian life on the way to the floating Village where after paying the entry fee we boarded a small boat for a cruise around the floating Village, and introduction to village life. There are not a lot of Tourists around this August so queues were non existent. There has been downturn in Tourism over the past years, so it is a great time to visit Cambodia, particularly Siem Reap. We highly recommend Thy and his Company Buffalo Siem Reap for any guided tours.

Private Tour: HERO Rats & Angkor National Museum

Hero Rats Demonstrate How They Save Lives by Finding Live Land Mines

Recalling the horrors of the Khamer Rouge and the killing fields, there is hope for removing the millions of remaining land mines across Cambodia. This is a stop that you must not miss, even if the title is off-putting. Here, you see how these intelligent rats from Tanzania in Africa can be trained to identify land mines and save hundreds and hundreds of lives, essential to this day where the threat continues nationwide. The rat's trainers demonstrate the training and lifesaving work that these rats and their handlers do. You can support the mission by going and by donating to a US 501c3 if you are as moved as we were.
