Car
From Limbe Beach, head northeast on the main road (A2) towards Buea. Continue straight for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach Bonakanda. Look for the sign for Hut 2 Mount Cameroon. The GPS coordinates for Hut 2 are approximately 4.194023 latitude and 9.1976625 longitude. You can park in the designated area near the hiking trail.
Public Transportation
From Limbe Beach, take a taxi or a shared minibus (often referred to as a 'bush taxi') heading towards Buea. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Bonakanda, which is about a 30-minute ride depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Bonakanda, ask locals for directions to Hut 2 Mount Cameroon. It's roughly a 15-minute walk from the main road to the trailhead. Be prepared to pay around 500-1000 CFA francs for the taxi fare.
Walking
If you're already in Bonakanda after arriving by taxi, you can walk to Hut 2 Mount Cameroon. From the main road, head towards the direction indicated by locals. Follow the path leading to the trailhead for about 1.5 kilometers. The terrain can be uneven, so wear appropriate footwear.
