Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from Garoua, head south on the N1 highway towards Ngaoundéré. After approximately 70 km, take the exit towards the N12 road heading west. Continue on the N12 for about 30 km until you reach the turnoff for Mba. Follow the signs to Pinyin, which is approximately 12 km from Mba. Make sure to use a GPS for precise navigation as the roads can be less marked.

    From Garoua, take a bus or shared taxi heading to Ngaoundéré. The fare is typically around 2000-3000 CFA francs. Once you reach Ngaoundéré, switch to a bus or shared taxi heading to Mba. This leg of the journey will cost around 1000-1500 CFA francs. Upon arrival in Mba, you can hire a motorcycle taxi (often called 'benskin') for the last 12 km to Pinyin. The fare for the motorcycle taxi is about 1000 CFA francs.
