Established in 2005, the museum is dedicated to preserving and sharing the artistic and cultural knowledge of the Ekang people and other communities of the Central African forest. The museum's collection includes traditional objects, artifacts, and documents related to the various communities living in the forested regions of Cameroon. Visitors can explore exhibits dedicated to indigenous peoples, their customs, crafts, music, dance, and way of life. Reconstructions of traditional houses, authentic costumes, and old photographs transport visitors to the past, offering a better understanding of the evolution of these fascinating cultures. The site integrates a lunar calendar and a sundial in the reconstruction of traditional Fang-Beti houses. The museum regularly organizes temporary exhibitions.
