The CSS Acadia, a proud vessel docked at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is a historic hydrographic and oceanographic research ship. Launched in 1913, she charted the coastline of Eastern Canada for over five decades and holds the distinction of being the only ship still afloat to have served in the Royal Canadian Navy during both World Wars and survived the Halifax Explosion.

Walking
From the Halifax Waterfront Boardwalk, head towards the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. The CSS Acadia is docked directly behind the museum on the waterfront. The walk is short and offers scenic views of the harbor.
Public Transport
Take any Halifax Transit bus route that stops near the waterfront. Routes 1, 7, 9, and 14 all stop near the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. Get off at the 'Lower Water St.' stop, from there it's a short walk to the museum and the CSS Acadia. A single bus fare is approximately CAD 2.75.
Parking
Several parking lots are available along Lower Water Street near the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. Lots include Bishop's Landing (1475 Lower Water Street), Salter Lot (1521 Lower Water Street), Foundation Place (1549 Lower Water Street), and the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic lot itself (1655 Lower Water Street). Parking rates are typically $3 per hour. Daily rates range from $16 (8 am - 6 pm), and overnight rates (6 pm to 8 am) are around $6. Pay-by-Plate parking is available.
