    From Sydney Airport, turn left onto Trunk 4 West towards Sydney. After 8 km, turn left onto NS-125 W. After 3.5 km, take Exit 8 for Route 22, and turn left at the bottom of the off-ramp. Continue on Route 22 through the roundabout, following signs to the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site. The drive is approximately 35 minutes. During peak season (June 23 to September 12), follow Route 22 through Louisbourg and turn right at the sign for the Fortress. Park at the Visitor Reception Centre where you can pay entry fees and take a bus to the reconstructed site. During the off-season, continue past the main entrance to Entrance 2. Follow the road into the reconstructed site and park as directed. Parking is free.
