Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving to Zavikon Island, you can start your journey from major cities in Atlantic Canada. For instance, from Halifax, Nova Scotia, take Highway 102 north toward Truro. Merge onto Highway 104 west and then take Highway 105 toward Cape Breton. Continue on Highway 105 until you reach the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1). Follow Highway 1 west into New Brunswick, then cross into Quebec via the Trans-Canada Highway. Once in Ontario, take Highway 401 west toward Kingston. From Kingston, take Highway 15 north until you reach the town of Athens. From Athens, head east on County Road 42 to reach the area of Leeds and Grenville United Counties. Be aware that parking may be limited near the island, so plan accordingly.

  If you're using public transportation, start your journey by taking a bus or train from your location in Atlantic Canada to Kingston, Ontario. Several bus companies, such as Greyhound and Megabus, offer routes to Kingston. Once in Kingston, you'll need to transfer to a local bus that operates to Athens.
